Rex Linn (born November 13, 1956) is an American film and television actor. He portrayed FBI Agent Dan Whitney in Rush Hour.


Early life and career[]

Lin was born in Spearman, Texas, the third child and second son of of Darlene (née Deere) and James Paul Linn. In 1969 his parents relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where his father practiced law. He attended Heritage Hall and later Casady School, an independent school affiliated with the Episcopal Church, and was employed part-time at the Oklahoma City Zoo.

In 1989, he had his first film major role in Night Game along with Roy Scheider. Linn then moved to Los Angles to train as an actor and tried for other film roles. After roles in features such as My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys (1991), Thunderheart (1992) and Sniper (1993), aside from several television roles, he got his biggest break through a role in the action flick, Cliffhanger (1993).

Since then he appeared in more films such as The Postman (1997), Rush Hour (1998), Blast from the Past (1999), The Hunted (2003), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), After the Sunset (2004) and Abominable (2006).
